Falando sobre a aula
Recebendo um novo funcionário
Section titled “Recebendo um novo funcionário”Objetivo: dar boas-vindas e mostrar o ambiente para um novo colega.

Objetos de escritório: monitor, keyboard, headphones, mouse, microphone, chair, desk, computer.

‘This’ e ‘that’:
- this - pessoa/objeto perto de você;
- that - pessoa/objeto não perto de você;
- negação: this is not …; that is not …;
- contrações: that’s; não há contrações para ‘this’.
- perguntas: is this, is that;

Possessive adjectives:
- mostram a quem um objeto pertence.
- Sempre há um substantivo depois de um pronome possessivo.
- my, your, his, her, its, our, their.

- Welcome to the company.
- Thanks!.

Descrevendo seu escritório
Section titled “Descrevendo seu escritório”Objetivo: mostrar a um novo funcionário o seu escritório.
- No escritório: office, meeting room (sala de reunião), restroom (banheiro), kitchen, window, coffee machine, elevator
- Plurais:
- a maioria: acrescentar ‘s’ no final;
- palavras que terminem em ‘x’, ‘sh’, ‘s’, ‘ss’, ‘ch’: acrescentar ‘es’ no final;
- pronúncia: /s/, /z/, /iz/;
- Quantificadores:
- there is/there’s, there are: para falar sobre a quantidade de algo;
- expressões:
- few: três ou quatro itens.
- Ex.: there are a few chairs in the kitchen;
- some: qualquer quantidade acima de 1;
- Ex.: there are some computers in the office;
- a lot of: quantidade grande;
- Ex.: There are a lot of people in my company.
